10 AM-10:50 AM: Session One
Our first session begins with 4 speakers discussing their purpose in life and how you can use that purpose to bring social change in your community and on a global spectrum. Talks range from topics of your true purpose in life, social good enterprises, yoga helping young girls grow, and how to preserve culture in an ever changing world.
9:15 AM-10 AM: Check In
Check in at our registration tables and find your seat!
11AM-11:45AM: Session Two
Session two is brief with 3 amazing speakers who are all under the age of 25! Their speeches will range from topics of being homeless at the age of 5, growing up with the opioid epidemic, and how you can practice mindful meditation!
10:50AM- 11AM: Performance #1
Grab some coffee, stretch, and enjoy a performance by the Kent State Dance Ensemble who has put together an amazing dance performance!
11:45AM-12:15PM: Break
Take a break to grab a snack and check out some of our interactive exhibits to unleash your creative brain in parallel to our theme! Dont need a break? We will be playing our favorite TED talks of all time on the big screen!
12:15PM-1PM: Session Three
Session three starts off with an alumni TEDxKentState speaker who will be touching on the importance of tattoo acceptance in the workplace! We also have two other spectacular speakers who will be touching on code switching and amazing research on racially profiling in the police force.
1PM-1:10PM: Performance two
Grab some coffee and enjoy a special performance by one of our favorite student groups on campus.
1:10PM-2PM: Session Four
We end our event with two amazing speakers who will leave you feeling like you can change the world! With a focus on changing the landscape for sexual assault and drunk driving prevention you will leave feeling like the superhero you are!
2PM: Thank You!
At the end of our event we want to thank you for attending and being a part of such an impactful program on the Kent State campus! Make sure to get a photo infront of our legendary TEDx letters and to mingle with the speakers and congratulate them on a job well done!
